Since 1999, Outstanding in The Field has set long tables at rural farms and urban gardens, on mountain tops and in sea caves, on islands and ranches, serving from farm to table across the country. The mission is to re-connect diners to the land and the origins of their food, and to honor the local farmers and food artisans who cultivate it.
On October 20, Outstanding in the Field will make its fall visit to Arizona with a dinner at The Farm at Agritopia in the organic peach and citrus orchard. The meal will be prepared by award-winning Chef Cullen Campbell of Crudo and Okra. Beer will be from local microbrewery 12 West Brewing Company and the wine will be by Garage East and Dos Cabezas. The event starts at 2:00 p.m. with drinks and social hour, followed by a farm tour and a beautiful multi-course meal in the orchard.
